On the 10th Anniversary of their introduction, the Custom Z saxophones have been reexamined from neck to bell. They now offer the ultimate combination of expressiveness, response and control while staying true to their free-spirited origins. Since the Custom Z was developed in 2003, the technology, craftsmanship and specifications of the Custom Z series have continued to improve to fulfill the needs of the highest level musicians.
The hand engraving is done by craftsmen after lacquering to enhance the contrast with the brass.The beautiful engraving design further enhances the luxurious feel of the YAS-82ZIIA. A special technology topcoat for Amber finish enables the product to maintain its beautiful condition for a long period of time.
The wide bore taper of the V1 neck provides a free-blowing feel and the greatest possible flexibility.
The nickel silver custom style neck receiver provides a condensed tone and good response with a high rigidity. It has the flexibility to choose between the necks designed for the Custom Z and Custom EX Yamaha saxophones (sold separately).
The octave key has a unique new ball joint design for smoother, quicker action. The new neck receiver improves the tonal resonance.
