The Les Paul™ Standard 50s Mahogany Top retains the classic design that made it relevant, played, and loved – shaping sound across generations and genres of music. It pays tribute to Gibson's Golden Era of Innovation and brings authenticity back to life. The Les Paul Standard 50s Mahogany Top has a solid mahogany body with a mahogany top replacing the maple top that is usually found on a Les Paul Standard. This is similar to some Les Paul Customs, many of which also feature all-mahogany bodies, and it results in a slightly warmer, more midrange-focused tone. Everything else you love about the Les Paul Standard 50s remains the same, including the mahogany neck with a rounded 50s Vintage profile, which is topped with a rosewood fretboard with acrylic trapezoid inlays and equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets. It also features an ABR-1, the classic-style Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, and black Top Hat knobs. The Burstbucker™ 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) pickups are loaded with Alnico 2 magnets and wired to audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop™ capacitors. A hardshell case completes the package and helps to ensure this beautiful guitar stays safe and secure when you're traveling to your next gig.
